Pecan Pie Bars
Ingredients:
Shortbread Crust:
3 tablespoons coconut oil
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1.5 cups almond flour
Pecan Pie Filling:
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1.5 cups chopped pecans
1 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix shortbread crust ingredients in a bowl.
Transfer shortbread crust into an 8x8β glass pan.
Bake for 10-20 minutes, until a little golden on edges.
Pour maple syrup in a frying pan over medium heat.
Wait for maple syrup to begin bubbling
Add in pecans and salt
Pour the candied pecans onto the shortbread crust
Bake for 5-15 minutes, waiting for edges of crust to be completely golden
Cool before eating; itβs so yummy when the maple-syrup-pecans caramelize and harden
